I am of the belief that a great outfit is simply the result of an equation of variables that were carefully combined based each item’s fit, pattern, texture, and color. A great outfit requires more thought than it does money, and is the difference between a quick compliment offered during dwindling small talk and the gaze given to those who combine a bunch of things no one wears to create something everyone wants to wear.
I chose to make this spring’s lookbook into bingo boards for two reasons. First of all, as a survivor of childhood obesity, Bingo was often the only game I excelled at during my formative years and my affinity for it has only grown with age. Secondly, I wanted a clear and fun way to show you the items I think make up a great look. I hope this setup will allow you to mix-and-match items you already own with newbies for spring and help you pull together a rooftop worthy #YAASMOMENT without the frustration that dressing for new weather often brings. There’s even printable version of each board below, in case you want to play Springo IRL! (If you do, plz invite me — it’s not very often I get an opportunity to show off my skills.)
