This winter, I’m asking you to back away, slowly, from your corduroys. I know what you’re thinking: “IT’S TOO HARD.” “THEY’RE SO WARM.” “CORDS ARE THE ONLY THING THAT FIT ME RIGHT NOW.” *lunch tray slam*
Fine! But at least hear me out: there is color, fit, and coverage waiting just on the other side of your winter wardrobe’s comfort zone. It’s name? The wrap dress.
You may recognize TWD from spring, summer, and fall, where it serves as a saving grace during everything from outdoor weddings to happy hours to work the next day, where it then acts as an impeccable concealer of hangover bloat.
However, too many of us are quick to pack up ole wrappy when the leaves make their final descent, perhaps unaware that a simple turtleneck, tights, and booties can help extend its ROI throughout Q1, too.
Below, I’ve compiled the best patterned wrap dresses the internet has to offer you right now. So many are on sale, and so many are amazing.
The dress I’m pictured wearing outside of Frederick’s premier motel/restaurant, Masser’s, was a Zara find and I can confirm I have not removed it from my body since purchasing on December 2nd. It’s fitting for so many different occasions, and can be found in nestled right in the center of that ‘CARE / DON’T CARE’ Venn diagram I’m confident that you, like me, picture every morning while choosing the day’s sartorial direction.
Unfortunately, the dress I’m in has sold out, but I’ve included three below that are pretty similar — and on sale! — from Zara. The earrings are Lisi Lerch, the jacket is Topshop (similar here), purchase my turtleneck here
, and the cuff is from Nordstrom Rack (similar here) and the broach is a vintage find from the Gail Colby Collection™. Enjoy!
